Brahma Yearbook

This course is both a specialized laboratory for practical journalistic experiences and the production unit for the high school yearbook. Objectives include management and production of major and minor sections of the yearbook and effectively performing one or more specific assisgnments essential for the production and publication of the high school yearbook. Duties may also include taking, editing, and printing pictures, selling ads, and implementing an advertising campaign. Students will learn the basics of photography, design layout, computer graphics, and advertising. Students will be expected to work within time constraints and budget limitations.

Certified Nursing Assistants

This course is designed to provide for the development of advanced knowledge and skills related to a wide variety of health careers. Studetns will have hands-on experiences for continued knowledge and skill development. Students also should identify the employment opportunities, technology, and safety requirements of the health care industry. Students are expected to apply the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a health science career through further education and employment. The Health Science Clinical course is designed to provide for the development of advanced knowledge and skills related to a wide variety of health careers. Students will employ hands-on experiences for continued knowledge and skill development.

Equipment and Engine Training Council (EETC)

The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) is a non-profit association whose mission is to address the shortage of qualified technicians in the outdoor power equipment industry. The EETC’s goal is to provide members with education, certification, and accreditation to grow skills and widen their horizons.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences in education.

Future Farmers of America (FFA)

Future Farmers of America (FFA) is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success. Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields. FFA is an intracurricular students organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education.

Hallettsville Brahma News Network (HBNN)

Careers in audio and video technology and film production span all aspects of the audio-video communications industry. Students will develop an understanding of the industry with a focus on pre-production, production, and post-production audio and video activities. HBNN students learn the appropriate uses of hardware components and software programs; understanding of casting and audition processes; and understanding of various audio and lighting techniques.
